Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press at the Federal Ministry of Education, has been honoured with an Executive Fellowship Award by the Institute of Corporate Administration in recognition of her exceptional leadership and dedicated service to public communication and media management.
The award was presented during the Institute’s 2nd Quarter Conference under the New Leadership Series, a platform that celebrates excellence and innovation in leadership across sectors. Mrs. Folasade was recognised for her significant contributions to strengthening the public image of the Ministry and for her unwavering commitment to transparency and effective information dissemination.
Delivering her citation, MC Agatha highlighted Folasade’s inspiring career, noting her roots in Osun State and her academic accomplishments—a Bachelor's degree in Economics Education from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Ilorin. Her career, spanning over three decades, includes impactful roles at Osun State MAMSER, the Federal Ministry of Information, and currently, the Federal Ministry of Education.
Representing the Institute at the event, Dr. Ibrahim Simon praised Mrs. Folasade’s legacy of professionalism and her enduring influence in public sector communications. He described the award as a well-deserved tribute to a woman whose leadership has made a visible difference within the education sector and the broader public service landscape.
In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Folasade expressed gratitude to her team, whom she described as the "backbone" of her success. She underscored the importance of strategic communication in governance, reaffirming her department’s dedication to providing timely, accurate information about the Ministry’s activities and achievements.
