The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday in London.
In a statement signed by her Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Jonathan Eze, the Minister described his passing as a great loss to both his family and the nation he served with dedication.
She noted that during his presidency, Buhari showed unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s development, implementing policies that positively impacted millions and advanced the welfare of women and children.
“As Minister of Women Affairs, I acknowledge the progress made under his administration in empowering women and promoting gender equality,” she stated.
Sulaiman-Ibrahim praised Buhari’s resilience, focus on national integrity, and his vision for a prosperous Nigeria, saying his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
She urged Nigerians to reflect on the values he stood for and to honor his memory through unity and service to the nation.
“Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time. We stand in solidarity with all who mourn his passing. May his soul rest in peace,” she added.
