Nigerian socialite and fashion enthusiast Rahman Jago has stated that Afrofusion star Burna Boy has converted to Islam.
The claim emerged after Jago shared a video on X showing the Grammy-winning artiste saying “Alhamdulillah.” The clip sparked online curiosity, with some users questioning whether the singer had formally adopted Islam, noting his frequent use of Arabic expressions in songs and public appearances.
Responding to an inquiry on the platform, Bashir Ahmad said some individuals close to the artiste claimed he had converted, but added that there had been no direct confirmation from Burna Boy himself.
Jago later joined the discussion and asserted, “He converted. He is now a Muslim.”
