The Wuse Ward of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Federal Capital Territory has announced the indefinite suspension of Senator Ireti Kingibe over allegations of anti-party activities, insubordination, and violations of party rules.
The decision was disclosed by Wuse Ward Chairman Kanayo Chukwu during a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, attended by party executives and members.
Chukwu said the suspension followed a general meeting of the ward held on March 10, 2026, which reportedly drew over 2,000 participants. Members deliberated on accusations against the senator, including the confiscation of the ward register, the alleged running of a parallel registration process, persistent absence from ward meetings, failure to pay statutory party dues, and acts deemed insubordinate to party leadership.
“After due consideration of these grave offences, a motion was moved by the general house for the immediate suspension of Senator Ireti Kingibe, and it was ratified by a two-thirds majority of the executives present,” Chukwu said.
The suspension resolution has been formally submitted to the Abuja Municipal Area Council chapter chairman, Omale Sule, for further ratification in line with party procedures. Sule confirmed receiving the resolution and stated that the matter would proceed through the appropriate party processes before any final action is taken.
