Akor Adams doubled the lead in the 52nd minute, finishing off a smart setup by Ademola Lookman. Iran’s Mehdi Taremi pulled one back in the 67th minute, but the Super Eagles held firm to claim victory.
The friendly clash forms part of Coach Eric Chelle’s preparation plan, allowing him to experiment with combinations and sharpen the squad ahead of upcoming fixtures.
Next up, Nigeria will face the Jordan national football team on March 31 at Mardan Stadyumu in Antalya, Turkey, as part of a four-nation tournament designed to offer competitive action for World Cup-qualified teams and facilitate squad rebuilding.
