Marc Cucurella has heaped praise on former Chelsea FC manager Enzo Maresca, describing the Italian tactician as a leader who inspired deep trust, confidence, and loyalty within the squad.
Speaking in comments shared via transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish defender reflected on his time under Maresca, highlighting the clarity and belief the manager instilled in his players.
“We knew what Maresca wanted from us. Winning a title like the Club World Cup also helps you create great relationships during the celebrations,” Cucurella said.
He went further to emphasise the emotional connection between the coach and his players, stating: “When a manager gives you that confidence and offers you a platform to fight for titles, you’d die for him.”
