The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the release of call-up letters for prospective corps members under the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II programme.
The scheme made the announcement on Monday via its official X platform, confirming that deployment details are now available to candidates ahead of the next phase of the exercise.
According to a statement signed by the NYSC spokesperson, Caroline Embu, the orientation course is scheduled to commence nationwide on April 22, 2026.
“The Orientation Course will begin with the reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members on Wednesday, April 22, and end at midnight on Friday, April 24,” the statement noted.
The swearing-in ceremony is slated for April 24, while the full orientation programme will run until May 12 across all orientation camps nationwide.
The NYSC also issued a safety advisory, urging prospective corps members to avoid travelling late at night. It recommended that journeys be paused by 6:00 pm and continued the following morning to ensure safer travel conditions.
Prospective corps members have been advised to access and print their call-up letters via the NYSC portal as preparations for the orientation exercise intensify.
