The husband of popular social media personality Eniola Fagbemi, known as Sisi Alagbo, Adesola Akeem, has issued a public apology following the circulation of a leaked sex tape involving himself, his wife, and another woman.
The video, which went viral on Monday, has generated widespread controversy online after spreading across WhatsApp groups and Telegram channels before making its way to gossip blogs, Instagram pages, and explicit-content platforms.
In the footage, Fagbemi is seen recording Akeem in an intimate encounter with a third woman, with all parties unclothed. The circumstances surrounding how the video was leaked online remain unclear.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, Akeem said he takes full responsibility for the incident and expressed regret over the embarrassment caused.
“I write with a deep sense of responsibility and sincere remorse to extend my heartfelt apologies to my family, friends, business associates, religious leaders, fans, loved ones, and the entire Nigerian public over the recent incident involving a leaked sex scandal.
“I acknowledge the disappointment, embarrassment, and concern this situation has caused, and I take full responsibility for my actions,” he stated.
He added that his conduct fell short of the expectations placed on him by those who support him and believe in him, directing apologies specifically to his family members, friends, business associates, and religious groups.
“To my fans and supporters, I deeply regret letting you down,” he said.
Akeem further noted that he is using the period for reflection and is committed to rebuilding trust and making better decisions going forward.
“I am committed to making better decisions, rebuilding trust, and upholding integrity in both my private and public life going forward,” he added.
Meanwhile, Sisi Alagbo had earlier issued her own apology on Wednesday via her verified Facebook page, stating that she has been emotionally affected since the video surfaced.
“I own my mistakes, and I apologize with all sincerity for the video circulating online. I am deeply sorry to everyone who felt disappointed in me,” she wrote.
