Nigerian actress and entrepreneur Temi Otedola has offered a candid glimpse into her marriage with music star Mr Eazi, revealing how differing communication styles once led to a tense disagreement between the couple.
Speaking about the experience, Otedola recounted discovering her husband’s frustrations through an unexpectedly lengthy message despite both being in the same apartment at the time. The revelation, she said, came after she had repeatedly sought reassurance in person.
“I had asked him multiple times if something was wrong,” she explained, expressing frustration at what she perceived as a reluctance to address the issue face-to-face.
The situation, she noted, left her emotionally overwhelmed, as the written message detailed a range of concerns she had not anticipated. While she described the approach as somewhat immature from her perspective, she acknowledged that it reflected a fundamental difference in how they process and express emotions.
Responding to her account, Mr Eazi explained that his preference for written communication stems from a desire to avoid escalating tensions during sensitive conversations. He noted that articulating his thoughts in writing allows for greater clarity and reflection.
“When I communicate immediately, it might come across too harsh,” he said, adding that writing enables him to carefully structure his thoughts and ensure nothing is left unsaid.
