DIP CONNECT ONLINE NEWS has learned that all 46 persons abducted from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been rescued alive after spending 56 days in captivity.
The rescued victims include 39 pupils and seven teachers who were kidnapped during the incident that sparked widespread concern across Oyo State and beyond.
According to available information, the rescue operation was carried out by a joint team of security personnel comprising the military and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS). The operation was successfully concluded in the early hours of Friday, July 10, 2026.
The successful rescue marks the end of a 56-day ordeal for the victims and their families, who had waited anxiously for their safe return.
