Veteran Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has identified internal sabotage as a major challenge confronting the Nigerian film industry, stating that the sector is being hindered by individuals working against its growth.
Speaking during an interview, the acclaimed actor expressed concern over what he described as widespread betrayal within Nollywood, revealing that eliminating such elements would be his top priority if given the chance.
“If there is one thing I would love to change about Nollywood, it would be to purge saboteurs from the industry. The industry is full of saboteurs. They can’t help themselves. They need therapy,” he said.
His remarks highlight ongoing concerns about internal conflicts and lack of unity within the industry, which many stakeholders believe continue to slow its progress.
