Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has dismissed claims that she ignored fuji music star Pasuma at a Lagos event over the weekend.
The clarification followed a viral video on X showing the moment Pasuma appeared to seek Akindele’s attention while she was engaged in a conversation with another guest. In the clip, the actress continued her interaction, prompting the singer to return to his seat.
An X user, Uoladiti, shared the video with the caption, “Moment Funke Akindele snubbed Pasuma in public. This is not looking good at all,” sparking widespread reactions and speculation online.
Responding to the claims, Akindele firmly denied snubbing the fuji legend, stressing that the narrative being circulated was misleading.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my Egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.
Her response comes amid growing online debates, as many social media users had interpreted the viral clip as a deliberate act of disregard.
However, the actress maintained that she shared a cordial moment with Pasuma at the event, urging the public to refrain from spreading negative assumptions, Dip Connect Online News reports.
