Saga Adeolu Opens Up on On-Screen Kissing, Says It’s Uncomfortable but Necessary for Acting

Nollywood actor and reality TV star Saga Adeolu has shared his candid thoughts on kissing scenes in movies, revealing that he would prefer to avoid them if given the choice.

Speaking on an episode of the Nolly Icons Podcast, Saga explained that contrary to public perception, most actors do not enjoy kissing on set but only do so to serve the story and improve performance delivery.

According to him, on-screen kissing is often uncomfortable and far from what viewers assume.

“It is not easy to kiss another actor. It is weird. I have not really had any good onscreen kiss. It is weird having people invade your mouth with saliva,” he said.

He added that actors endure such scenes strictly for professional reasons rather than pleasure.

“It is not something we enjoy. People think we enjoy it, but we don’t. We are just doing it for the story most times. If I had my way, I won’t kiss anyone in a film… There was a day I kissed four different girls on set,” he revealed.

Saga further stated that actors deserve more understanding and appreciation for performing such roles, rather than being judged for them.

He concluded that on-screen intimacy is part of storytelling craft and should be seen as professional work, not personal expression.
